How to draw Brian
A brief tutorial
Brian is a cool guy, and for the most part he's the most fun and easy to draw. So here you'll get to learn how to draw him holding his weapon of choice, a vg controller.

Step 1: First start by drawing an outline of the body. This in itself took a bit of practice for me. One of these days I'd like to get one of those mannequin figures, but I've practiced enough to know how to draw a body well enough, I suppose.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can teach you anything in this tutorial if you're having problems drawing anatomy, since that's what you need to know to draw characters.

Step 2: I like to draw the clothes next. I think the hardest thing about drawing clothes is the folds, but again, it gets easier with practice (just about everything does). One thing to remember is that the bottom part of the hat is always just one line that continues onto the flap. He sometimes wears shorts, too. Oh, and one more thing about the hat, the flap is white on the top side, and red on the bottom.

I've also started defining the cheek and chin, and his ear. Um, there isn't much else to say at this point.

Step 3: Now I draw his facial features. For hair, draw two spikes on each side of his face and one in the middle. The spikes on the side furthest from the viewer protrudes a little bit. Don't forget that his hair is slightly long in the back. As for the eyes, don't worry about detail (I sure don't!). All of my characters eyes are completely black with the exception of a spot of white in two diagonal corners, which of course is the reflection of light. Brian usually wears a cocky smile.

I've also better defined the hands at this point. That's the controller he's holding, in case you couldn't tell.

Step 4: Details are drawn in (the buttons and wire on the controller and the shoelaces), and now it's time to ink the picture and erase the unneeded lines. I'm horrible at inking, which is why I never do it outside of my comics. I've heard that a tablet helps, and if you make a critical mistake you can fix it using white-out or a picture editing program like Photoshop.
Now you all know how to draw Brian! If I'm lucky, maybe some fanart will come out of this...
