Main Characters

David
DOB: January 16
Blood Type: O
Likes: cartoons (Anime and American), video games, comics, drawing, winning
Dislikes: work (especially in customer service), vegetables, annoying people, anime dub or sub bashing (anime is good in any language!)
Favorite US cartoon: Powerpuff Girls
Number of girlfriends: Zero

David as a character started out as an animated representation of the author of the comic, who's name and appearence he resembles. Realizing that the real David wasn't very interesting, comic-version David took on a personality of his own. He can be a bit obnoxious and annoying at times, and he's definately weird. However, if you don't mind his whining and complaining, he's a pretty sweet guy overall.

David is the leader of the cast. The head honcho. The big cheese. The comic will most often center on him and his problems. That's not to say we don't get to see Brian and Tara's lives once in a while, though. After all, David's life is pretty much in his friends.

Brian
DOB:November 13
Blood Type: B
Likes: Video games, soccer, card games, his hat, trying new things, joking around
Dislikes: computer speak (like "Leet" or those stupid abbreviations like LOL, OMG, etc.), hat hair, being bored, stupid jocks (they give him a bad name)
Favorite Classic Video Game: Pacman
School Status: former jock

What do you think of when you hear the word "jock?" Those football stars who are bullys on the side, right? Brian is quite the opposite.

Before entering David's little circle of friends, Brian had an envied life. He was a great soccer player on his high school team, girls loved him and guys wanted to be him. But this lifestyle was not for Brian at all. He hated having so much attention. So he left the team, avoided crowds, even stopped dating so that he could enjoy the simpler pleasure of video games. David still thinks Brian was one lucky son of a gun to be so popular, but he can't complain seeing as he has a video game buddy to play with.

In the group, Brian contributes to most of the punchlines. He enjoys being funny, playfully teasing, and being sarcastic when it's appropriate. He's not exacly Mr. Common Sense though, so he lets David and Tara handle that department.

Tara
DOB: July 3
Blood Type: A
Likes: Computers, board games, chatting with friends, laughing, being refered to as "the smart one" by David and Brian
Dislikes: scary movies, big dogs, procrastination, being wrong, her semi-poor drawing skills
Favorite Hobby: Writing short stories
Sometimes Daydreams About: having superpowers

Tara has been David's good friend and neighbor since grade school. They know a lot about each other, and can probably guess what the other is thinking better than David with his own brothers.

Tara is very sweet and polite. She has actually been on several dates, and has had one boyfriend. However, the guy let slip that Tara's a lousy kisser, and now she faces loser status along with David. But Tara doesn't really care anymore. She enjoys spending time with David and Brian as the unrivaled smartest person of the group.

Fun Facts: In the original designs, Tara looked a lot more like Bubbles from the Powerpuff Girls, which is why she is named after her voice actor. Her birthday is July 3rd, which was the day the PPG movie opened in theaters.

Minor Characters

Diane
A major of the minor characters. Diane was originally meant to be a main member of the cast, but her personality wasn't very well fleshed out by the time the webcomic was to start. So she was dropped completely until the Tara Soccer Challenge arc, where she was needed as a fourth player. It's likely we'll see more of her later on.

At first she was meant to be tomboyish, like Buttercup to Tara's Bubbles (though I guess Tara is more like Blossom now). But having a tomboy character has become overused, and, not knowing how she should act, it was decided she be left out of the comic. When I started using her in the comic for the soccer arc, she appeared shy when introducing herself, and so now she's "the quiet one." Diane sat next to Tara in algebra and biology class, which is how Tara knew her.

Families
Although they haven't appeared in the comics yet, it should be acknowledged that David, Brian, and Tara all have fine families. All three have loving moms and dads, David has two brothers, and Brian has an older sister and a cat.

Brian's cat, P.T.
For the most part, Brian's cat Princess Toadstool (aka P.T.) is your average cat. Eating and sleeping takes up most of her undemanding schedule. She has the very annoying habit of settling on Brian's lap at inconvenient times, like when he's doing homework, watching TV, or napping on his sofa. In a sweet moment, sometimes Brian will let her hit the buttons on his controller when playing a game. P.T.'s current record on Balloon Fight is 1500.
